1 x blank 27C4096 or equivalent  EPROM,

A copy of S2LANG.EXE programme (available to download here).

LANGUAGE CONVERSION PROCEDURE

1. First thing to do is dump the Japanese language ROM from your Strider 2 board. Carefully extract ROM HR2J 04 @ location 2H, top PCB and read it with your EPROM programmer as a 27C4096. Save the data to a file named HR2J04.BIN.

2. Next you need to generate the Asian replacement ROM using a copy of the DOS programme S2LANG.EXE. Download it here and unzip it into a new directory.

3. Copy the Japanese ROM file to the same directory as S2LANG.EXE and run it with these command line parameters:

S2LANG.EXE   HR2J04.BIN   HR2A04.BIN

4. You now have a new file called HR2A04.BIN, burn this file on to a new 27C4096 (or equivalent) EPROM and insert it into location 2H on your Strider 2 top PCB.

5. Power up your game! Strider 2 in English!!!!!!!!!! :-D
