Out Run Deluxe Upright Restoration

The game was DOA but was quickly brought back to life with a new PSU. Unfortunately the monitor was beyond repair also and needed replacing, which I borrowed from another 20" Jamma cab. Some cosmetic work to the cabinet was necessary as well. Some auto body-filler, a bit of sanding and a paint job sorted out the couple of dings in it. The silver plastic monitor bezel has been cleaned up and re-sprayed to disguise the fag burns. A new bezel with the map decal is needed really. Apart from all this the game works great, the PCB and the force feedback steering wheel are perfect!

Out Run Easter Egg

Pressing the Start button just after you've picked your route when the road forks left and right, will display this text message, giving credit to SEGA's famous programmer Yu Suzuki.
